German Village

German Village is a vibrant neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus. It was settled by a large number of German immigrants in the mid 1800s, who at one time comprised as much as a third of the population of the entire city, and it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the area has a number of great, locally-owned restaurants and shops (including the 32-room Book Loft bookstore), and a number of local landmarks. For more information, click here.
